The ongoing 2018 FIFA World Cup is being held from 14 June to 15 July. Total 32 teams are participating in the FIFA World Cup 2018 edition. 32 teams are divided into 8 groups, with 4 teams in each group. 32 countries will battle this time around in Russia. Germany are the defending champions of the FIFA World Cup.

Peru and Morocco are making come back after many years in FIFA World Cup. Panama and Iceland will be playing their first ever FIFA World Cup. Total 12 venues in 11 host cities in Russia will host 64 matches including the finals of the FIFA World Cup 2018. FIFA for the first time has approved the use of video assistant referees (VAR) in the 2018 World Cup tournament.
