Arsenal have finally have agreed to sign young 20-year-old defender Rob Holding from Bolton Wanderers for £2 million. Arsenal earlier made an initial bid of £750k for Rob which was rejected by Boltan. Rob Holding has been linked to Arsenal with a long term contract and has already completed a medical at the Emirates on Monday.
Rob also helped England Under-21 team to victory in the recent Toulon tournament held in France alongside Calum Chambers who also plays for Arsenal as a defender.
For many of us, it came as a surprise for Holding joining the Arsenal as the transfer looked to be over after the initial bid was rejected by Boltan in the month of May. After which Bolton triggered a 1 year extension clause for Rob Holding contract making it more difficult to look like any deal was out-of-sight.
