Bill Goldberg vs Brock Lesnar is all but confirmed for Survivor Series

On Tuesday, the whole pro wrestling was super hyped. Apart from another SmackDown Live episode and a great show by SmackDown as usual, there was something else that transpired on Tuesday night.

Reports have emerged from Dave Meltzer and that Bill Goldberg and the WWE are in ‘serious talks’ if a deal is not in already in place to bring back the former world heavyweight champion to the ring for a match against the beast incarnate, Brock Lesnar. The match could happen as early as Survivor Series.

Providing an update on the issue, WWE hall of famer, Jim Ross announced on his social media page that he has heard about the talk about Bill Goldberg vs Brock Lesnar and that Bill Goldberg’s return is a ‘done deal’ and the match is expected to go down at Survivor Series in November.

The match between the two would be one of the featured matches, and not the main event as the WWE would want to focus on the Universal and the heavyweight championship matches being the main event matches for the show. This is what happened at WrestleMania XX and we ended up having one of the worst scripted matches. Even the Texas Rattle Snake, Stone Cold Steve Austin could not save the match with his presence. The crowd turned on the match right from the beginning and the rest is history. Goldberg and Lesnar did not go at it as we would have expected them to collide.

WWE Survivor series has always been one of the biggest pay per views for the WWE and the WWE would want to keep the audience glued to the Network, especially given that the pay per view begins the mark of holiday season. This year’s event is expected to take place on Sunday, the 20th of November from the Air Canada Center, in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Bill Goldberg and Brock Lesnar have been going behind each other since the launch of the WWE 2k17 game and have constantly called out each other. As always, plans may change at the last minute. We will keep you posted about any update on the story.
