Can Mohammad Amir Revive his career back from the place where it felt in jeopardy

It was 2009 champion’s trophy when India and Pakistan were together in the same group and it was at centurion where the match of the bitter rivals was on the cards. Pakistan batted first and posted a total of somewhat 300 runs and then I had the first glance on the newest acquisition of Pakistan team. Though he only picked two wickets but the way he bowled clearly proved that Pakistan have found the next big thing in their bowling department.

Great expectations

The left arm fast bowler made his debut in all forms of international cricket around 2009 and soon after he started, he became the main man in the Pakistani jersey. He picked important wickets and was very consistent with his bowling as he was highly praised all over the world. Even Pakistani Greats Ramiz Raza and Wasim Akram had high praise for him. There were praises everywhere for this Pakistani international with the long hairs as his Skiddy bouncers and Swing delivers wreck havoc in the opposition.

The dark day of the Cricket

It was in 2010 when an English newspaper reported that three Pakistani players, Pakistan cricket team captain that time Salman Butt along with Mohamed Asif and Mohamed Amir were included in a spot fixing scandal where they bowled no balls in return of a payment in the Pakistan’s tour of England.

The three players were suspended from the tour and later the investigation found them guilty resulting in an ban on Salman butt and Mohamed Asif from cricket and a 5 years ban on Mohamed Amir because the charges against him were not as strong against the other too.

Return to the greener pastures

It looked like the end of the road for this immensely talented lad but the ace didn’t gave up as he resumed the training and maintained his fitness standards waiting in desperation to return to cricket again. He did come strong as he stormed everyone with his brief spells in the Asia cup and ICC world T20.

Amir is a part of the team which will tour England and this could be the redemption time for this pace bowler who can reignite his career to the new heights again.
