If the WWE draft did anything in the past, that was to help the superstars get over with the feuds they have been currently involved in. We have seen it in the past with Batista and HHH, Edge and Batista, Cena and JBL and many other such names.
One pair that comes to mind when it comes to compelling storytelling, emotional backdrop, and excellent match quality is Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens. Although they have ended up on the same roster after the draft, it is time WWE have them feud with someone else. Not that they do not produce great matches when they work together, or that they do not have excellent promos. On a scale of 1-10, their recent match at Battleground could be rated a 10/10. It had everything that you could possibly ask for.
With the recent spate of events pointing at another clash between the two heading into Summerslam, we feel that it’s time to let them feud with other opponents. Have Zayn go against maybe Chris Jericho, who is on a never ending spree of promoting upcoming talent. Have Owens go against a senior worker, maybe like Big Show, who is a face currently.
This has been done in the past, the most iconic being The Rock and Austin, HHH and HBK. Have them be involved in matches that have other competitors but not any more on a one on one basis. We have been witnessing the same feud for the past year.

This is just like having the same lobster for dinner and complaining about monotony. Of course, in this case, the lobster is as good as it can get. Not that we complain about them, they’re great together. It is expected that WWE will have a final encounter between the two at Summerslam, but after that they should pursue other feuds/titles. To have a better outcome and impact at Summerslam, set the stakes higher maybe in a cage match.
With the draft, you have a plethora of talent to have these competitors go against. Let them explore other waters too!
