Hosts India will kick start their Junior Hockey WC 2016 campaign against team Canada on December 8 at Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh.

Total 16 teams are divided into 4 groups each having four teams. The final will be played on December 18th. India and Canada are placed in Pool D along with South Africa and England. Only two teams out of this group will qualify for quarter finals.
The final combination has been formed keeping in mind the recent results. I believe this team combination is the best we have in junior hockey and the boys are ready both mentally and physically to do everything it takes to stand on the podium, said Roelant Oltmans.
