Rumor: Hulk Hogan to make a return for WrestleMania 33

0

All you fans of the immortal, Hulk Hogan, you heard it right. Hulk Hogan might make a return to the company that made him the superstar he is today, at next year’s edition of the grandest stage of them all.

Not long ago, WWE distanced itself from the superstar after a tape of him going on a racial rant against his daughter, Brooke Hogan’s then boyfriend surfaced. After a lawsuit, it was reported that Gawker has closed house and Hogan has went on record to apologize for his improper choice of words. It is worth mentioning that after WWE distanced itself from the Hulkster, for the first time in a long time, he was featured in a WWE commercial during Backlash pay per view, and then on the following episode of Monday Night Raw.

Going by the past, if a superstar who has fallen from the good books of the company is mentioned on air, it means the superstar is taking baby steps towards the company. The best example we can give is of the Rock and Brock Lesnar. After their respective contracts had expired, both of them had gone on record about the way WWE treats superstars. The Rock even went to the extent of announcing a retirement from his pro wrestling career to focus on acting. Boom. At WrestleMania 27, the Rock made his long awaited comeback to the company and since then, there has been no looking back. The same can be said about the beast incarnate, Brock Lesnar too.

As we mentioned in our previous article, for fans, this is the time to watch the WWE. We have the voice of the audience being represented, and the roster’s strength has grown massively thanks to programs like NXT and the recently concluded Cruiser Weight Championship series. Imagine having one of the biggest superstars of all time sharing the stage with some of the current superstars. What a treat it would be, both for the fans and sponsors alike!

Hulk Hogan is undoubtedly one of the biggest draws in the WWE. Barring the Rock, Stone Cold Steve Austin and the Undertaker, there is no one who commands admiration and love from the fans like the Hulkster.

With the WWE aiming to break new records with this year’s WrestleMania, with the probability of Bill Goldberg making a long awaited come back to the squared circle, Hogan’s presence would be the icing on the cake.

In this week’s edition of the Wrestling Observer’s Newsletter, Dave Meltzer agreed that the WWE is likely testing waters for a potential Hulk Hogan return. In a recent interview, the brain behind the WCW and one of the best General Managers in RAW history, Eric Bischoff stated that he would not be surprised to see this happen.

He added that when the WWE produced a documentary on him, Hulk was a big part of the documentary. He also added that the mere fact that Hulk was mentioned suggested that the WWE was probably going to over time, reintegrate Hulk Hogan back into the WWE content. He concluded by saying that he was not surprised, but was happy.

Time is the best healer of wounds. It seems that both the fans and the WWE will be forgiving of the Hulkster. Talking about the controversy, Hulk said that it was unacceptable for him to have used the offensive language and there was no excuse for it. He also apologized for doing it.

This is not the first time we have heard rumors about Hulk Hogan returning. When asked about the potential return of Hulk Hogan to the company in 2015, Triple H said that he hopes Hogan would be back one day. He added that the WWE did what it had do and Hulk needs to do what he needs to do to get himself back into the company fold. He said that by doing this, they were putting up a message to the world about how one tolerates things and how one reacts to things!

The mere thought of having Hogan back gives us goosebumps! We cannot wait to have credible information to post to you guys! As of now, consider this as a credible rumor, given that WWE is currently mending fences with all disgruntled superstars.
