What do you use a table for? Writing? To use your electronic devices? Guess what! WWE also uses them for almost the same thing, but just not in the ring. A table for a contract signing is a clear indication of an impending brawl or some kind of physicality between the superstars involved.
We are at a similar situation again tonight, with the current NXT champion, Shinsuke Nakamura and Samoa Joe scheduled to be in the same ring tonight, for their championship match at the NXT takeover event on the 19th of November, from Toronto, Canada. Nakamura has been at the receiving end of late, thanks to a mistimed move, which injured Austin Aries, and put him on the shelf for almost 6 months. If you’re faint hearted, we recommend you not to look at images of Austin Aries after his injury. It was a nasty one; let’s leave it there.
Samoa Joe on the other hand, is a powerhouse and one of the oldest dark horses with the NXT currently. He has been associated with NXT since the time Balor and Rhyno were still associated with the brand, but he has not been elevated yet to the main roster. Not that we are complaining, but winning the NXT championship and being able to get the fans behind you more or less guarantee a RAW/SmackDown Live shot in future.
The two athletes have been at it with each other, especially over the last couple of months, so it’s anybody’s guess as to what may transpire when they are in the same ring, at the same time, to sign the dotted line. There would definitely be some kind of physicality involved. Both are known to be very physical men, with neither shying away from showing their vicious side to their opponents on any given occasion. What happens when they set foot in the same ring? Tune in to NXT tonight, at 8/7 C as the road to NXT Takeover: Toronto heats up!
