USA vs Australia Basketball Match Preview: 2016 Rio Olympics Men’s competition

It will be an epic encounter to watch when the mighty USA men’s basketball team will square off with the Australian team on 11th August, 2016 in Rio Olympics’ Mens basketball competition.

This will be a golden chance for the Australian team as they will be on a mission to prove their medal credentials and will look to shock the mighty USA Mens team star studded with the NBA players. The USA Mens team is considered the team to beat at Rio and the impressive Australians will have to put everything on line to prove their point against a very strong USA Mens team.

USA – Paul George, Draymond Green, Jimmy Butler, Harrison Barnes, Klay Thompson, DeMar DeRozan, Kyrie Irving, Kyle Lowry, DeAndre Jordan, DeMarcus Cousins, Kevin Durant and Carmelo Anthony.

The USA team looks like a dream team to anyone with Durant and Anthony as the stars in the team. DeMarcus Cousins has really proved his worth once again just like the way he did in London.

Australia – David Andersen, Cameron Bairstow, Aron Baynes, Andrew Bogut, Ryan Broekhoff, Matthew Dellavedova, Chris Goulding, Joe Ingles, Kevin Lisch, Damian Martin, Patty Mills, Brock Motum.

The Australian squad is also star studded and has some great talents in the team. There are total 6 NBA stars in the team that truly explains their quality.

The road so far

Both the teams have looked unstoppable so far in the completion as they both have a 100% winning record at the Rio Olympics. The Australian team has looked more dangerous as they defeated the French team in style. The USA team has been impressive by winning both of their last two encounters but hasn’t yet showed the domination that is expected from the abundance of talents they have.

The match looks poised towards the USA team but it is a game of basketball where predicting the result is quite hard even when it comes to the mighty USA. It will be a litmus test for the USA team whiles the Australian team will be looking to dethrone the USA team.
