WWE Battleground Results 2016 Part 2

Natalya vs. Becky Lynch: The second women’s match of the night. Becky starts off as the favorite but one miss on her part, where she slips into the apron. Natalya takes advantage and starts working on Becky’s leg. Becky manages to hit the T-bone suplex but scores a near fall.

Natalya locks in the sharp shooter but Becky manages to reach the ropes. Becky hits a drop kick and goes for the cover, kick out at 2. Excellent counter by Natalya into the sharp shooter, leading to Becky tapping out.

Miz vs Darren Young for the Intercontinental title: Pretty decent back and forth match, with Bob Backlund in Young’s corner. Maryse slaps Backlund which leads to him having a fit of rage on the outside. Miz attacks Backlund, but Young applies the chicken wing at ringside, with the referee calling for the bell. No Contest.

John Cena, Enzo and Cass vs The Club: Expect this leading to a final showdown between Cena and Styles at Summerslam. An excellent match as expected, with plenty of counters and near falls. Cena wins the match for his team with the Attitude Adjustment on AJ Styles of the middle rope.

Chris Jericho’s High light Reel: Randy Orton is the guest for the show, with the Viper making his long awaited return after a 9 month hiatus. Back and forth talk between both, with Jericho telling Orton to drink in the gift of Jericho, which would help him in his match against the beast incarnate, Brock Lesnar at Summerslam. Mild tease to Brock’s failed drug test by Orton here. Jericho says he has a message from Lesnar for Orton, that Orton is a stupid idiot. Jericho turns around to leave, but RKO out of nowhere to close the segment.

Dean Ambrose vs Seth Rollins vs Roman Reigns: Lot at stake in the match, with the commissioners along with the General Managers at ringside to witness the fate of the WWE World Heavyweight title. Reigns started off with a lot of offense, but Rollins and Ambrose teamed up to power bomb him through the Spanish announce table. Crowd erupts at seeing Rollins and Ambrose working together. Pedigree to Reigns, but he comes back with a superman punch out of nowhere. Before Reigns can capitalize, Ambrose runs in and hits the dirty deeds on Rollins. 1.2.3! The lunatic fringe is taking the title along with him to SmackDown!
