It is being reported by a few wrestling websites that the Cruiserweight title is going to be added to the RAW brand. It is expected to start off along with the universal title, possibly after Summerslam. As previously announced by the WWE, this title is going to be exclusive to the RAW brand only.
So that means most of the competitors on the current Cruiserweight World Championship would be offered contracts to be on the main roster. As noted previously, Neville is expected to lead the cruiserweight division from the front.
Previously, the cruiserweight title was exclusive to the SmackDown brand, and had been held by Rey Mysterio, Chavo Guererro, Jamie Nobel, Tajiri and Billy Kidman to name a few. They produced great matches and kept the audience glued to their seats. Expect the same with RAW brand soon!
In other news, most of the WWE superstars have not taken kindly to Conor Mcgregor’s recent rant about WWE superstars. Roman Reigns, Kurt Angle, Ric Flair, Chris Jericho had some strong words of their own for Conor. This week, the current Women’s champion, Sasha Banks responded to his comments too.
Switching to TNA news, TNA is reportedly reporting the arrival of a new superstar to TNA, and asking all the fans to be glued. There have been reports floating around that it could be a former WWE fan favorite, pointing it to be either Damien Sandow or Ryback. We will keep you posted once we receive some official news.
Speaking of arrival of superstars, it is being reported that Shelton Benjamin may not be returning to the WWE as soon as expected. He took to twitter to state that he had to deal some nagging injuries he received during his wrestling time with New Japan and the WWE doctors have told that he would need at least six months to completely recover and be able to compete on the roster. This is bad news to both the fans and WWE as we have all been waiting for his return.
