It was announced on this week’s episode of Talking Smack that WWE Hall of Famer, Jerry ‘The King’ Lawler, will be returning to commentary to call the 2017 Royal Rumble match alongside Michael Cole and Corey Graves. It was also announced that Lawler will be one of the panelists on the Royal Rumble Kickoff show alongside Renee Young and WWE Hall of Famer, Booker T.

WWE Hall of Famer, Kevin Nash announced that he will donate his brain and spinal cord to the CTE center at Boston University and the Concussion Legacy Foundation after his death. The program was started by former WWE superstar, Chris Nowinski.

Roman Reigns became the first baby face in the history of the rankings of Pro Wrestling Illustrated to win the title of most hated wrestler. This is the first time that PWI has actually responded to the rankings and noted that a baby face winning the most hated wrestler.

We have been announcing that the WWE is planning on having a women’s tournament similar to the Cruiserweight Classic tournament. The filming was originally planned to begin this month or the next month from Winter Park, Florida at the Full Sail University.

Triple H recently made an appearance on Fox Sports’ Wrestling Compadres podcast and said that they plan to do the women’s program in the summer. He added that due to the brand split, the four annual ‘big’ pay per views and NXT Takeovers have made it hard to find the right time slot. He also added that the WWE UK Championship was done in a small break before the Royal Rumble.

A new report from the PWInsider states that the veteran of 20 years behind the microphone, Michael Cole may soon be filling in a different, off-camera role within the company.

There has been no specific date as to when Cole is expected to leave the announcer’s booth, but it appears that he and the management have been giving strong considerations towards the next chapter of his life.

Randy Orton was involved in an altercation with a fan during Orton’s workout session at a gym in Jonesbro, Arkansas. NEAReport.com reported that when the fan approached Orton for a picture, he had stated that he was in the middle of a particular intense workout and would not like to be disturbed.

However, the fan went ahead and clicked pictures of Orton which ticked Orton off.
