Tonight’s RAW episode is a fall out from the just concluded pay per view, Hell in a Cell. Here are the quick results of the event:

Kevin Owens def. Seth Rollins – retains the Universal championship.

Roman Reigns def. Rusev – retains the United States Championship.

Charlotte def. Sasha Banks – This match was history in the making, as it was the first time that a women’s match was the main event of the night. Besides, the finish was nixed in the last minute, in the wake of Vince wanting to push for a Bayley and Charlotte feud; sooner than the creative team was planning for – New WWE Women’s Champion.

Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson def. Enzo Amore and Big Cass.

Brian Kendrick def. TJ Perkins – New Cruiserweight Champion.

Sheamus and Cesaro def. the New Day via DQ.

Bayley def. Dana Brooke.

Tonight’s episode comes in from the XL Center in Hartford, CT.

  • Expected tonight is Bill Goldberg, who will continue the build towards his match against Brock Lesnar at Survivor Series.
  • Also, Seth’s Rollins’ future, whether he’d get a title shot against Owens; more importantly, will he be able to extract revenge out of Chris Jericho for costing him the Universal title at Hell in a Cell?
  • What’s next for Roman Reigns and Charlotte? Will they have new number one contenders?
  • Cesaro and Sheamus demanded a rematch against the New Day after their win via DQ.

Expect answers for these questions and more from tonight’s episode. Since tonight’s episode is on Halloween, expect a lot of Halloween themed matches and promos.

We start things off with the former WCW and WWE World Heavyweight Champion, Bill Goldberg making his way to the ring, standing in the middle of his pyro. He gets on the mic to cut a promo on Lesnar, only to be interrupted by the advocate of the beast incarnate, Paul Heyman. He says Lesnar is not just a beast, but is an impatient beast and says Lesnar has decided not to wait until Survivor Series. Lesnar’s music plays but Lesnar is nowhere to be seen.

Heyman starts laughing and says ‘gotcha’ to Goldberg after the music stops. Heyman gloats about how he fooled everyone in attendance and people watching at home. Goldberg is pissed and gets in Heyman’s face. Heyman begs Goldberg not to hurt him. Suddenly, Rusev’s music plays and he hits the ring. Goldberg is ready to fight. Looks like we’re going to see Goldberg in action. Rusev takes the mic and trash talks Goldberg and eventually attacks him with right hands. Goldberg shakes it off and slightly botches the jack hammer at start, but hits it in the end, perfectly. Goldberg turns to Heyman and hits him with a spear.

Enzo Amore vs Luke Gallows: This is going to be a ‘Trick of Street Fight’ match. Enzo and Cass are dressed out as characters from Toy Story. Enzo takes to the ring and has a beat down on Gallows with a skull from the props at ring side. Gallows comes back and smashes a pumpkin on Enzo’s face. Anderson tries to get involved, but Enzo clears him off with a pumpkin to the face and Big Cass follows it up with a big boot onto a table. Enzo hits Gallows with a low blow and Cass puts a pumpkin on Gallows’ head. Enzo hits a DDT off the top rope for the win.

We see an ambulance pulling up backstage and are informed that Paul Heyman is being taken to the hospital inside the ambulance.

It was announced earlier that Brian Kendrick would be defending his new Cruiserweight title in a re-match against TJ Perkins.

Brian Kendrick vs TJ Perkins: Perkins wastes no time as soon as the bell ring and goes off on Kendrick who immediately gets to the ropes. Perkins hits a bull dog, before setting up Kendrick for a scoop slam. Perkins follows it up with a hurricanrana over the top, sending both himself and Kendrick out of the ring in the process.

Referee starts the ten count. Perkins gets into the ring just in time, but Kendrick purposely avoids getting into the ring and counts himself out. Winner by count out, TJ Perkins.

TJ Perkins is obviously not happy with the outcome and locks in a knee bar on a retreating Kendrick.

Braun Strowman is backstage talking to the general manager, Mick Foley. He says that he wants a spot on the team for the RAW vs SmackDown Live traditional Survivor series match. Foley says that there had be a battle royal tonight, with the winner in line to get a spot on the team.

The general manager is out next. He says Hell in a cell was a great pay per view for RAW. Foley says he’s proud of everyone on the roster, except for Chris Jericho and Kevin Owens. He says that though whatever they did to Rollins was legal, it did leave a bad taste in his mouth.

This brings out Owens and Jericho. Owens asks what was it that they did that was so wrong. He plays around by asking whether it was the fact that instead of RAW’s number one draft pick walking out of the pay per view as the champion, he walked out; or the fact that his best friend, Chris Jericho outsmarted Foley and managed to get into the cell. He says all of that doesn’t matter as he managed to make history at hell in a cell. Irrespective of whether Foley likes it or not, last night was the Kevin Owens’ show.

Jericho says that instead of chastising him and Owens, Foley should be getting on his knees and begging and pleading Chris and Owens to head the team RAW for Survivor Series. Foley says he need both Owens and Jericho for team RAW just because of smart and devious they can be. Foley says that he’d be needing another guy, not just any guy, but ‘the guy’. This brings out Roman Reigns who thanks Foley for his support and vote of confidence. Reigns mocks Jericho by saying that he was going to dress up as a stupid idiot for Halloween but the stores did not have any more of Jericho’s costumes. Jericho teases Roman that he’d add him on the list but decides against it by saying Reigns is not worthy of being on the list.
