The October 18th episode of RAW is coming in from the Pepsi Center, Denver CO. We are anticipating the arrival of Bill Goldberg who posted a periscope video of himself along with his wife and son arriving at Denver, CO.
One noticeable missing feature from the show is the pulling out of Paige from the opening segment show of RAW. Speaking of Paige, she proposed to Alberto Del Rio during a wrestling match, and he agreed. Congratulations to both Paige and Del Rio. The show kicks off with the announce team talking about Goldberg’s return and plugging in the 2k17 video game. We are also informed about a segment later for the episode, where Lita would be interviewing both Sasha Banks and Charlotte.
Kevin Owens and Chris Jericho are out to open the show. They are out with their lists. Owens says that Foley has an agenda against him and Jericho. Jericho tells the crowd to keep quiet and says Foley putting Owens in a dangerous predicament like the Hell in a Cell match is a proof that he is a stupid idiot. Owens says unlike Foley, he will not be broken in the cell and that he will take Rollins to hell. Jericho adds that he should have been added to the match, as he has beaten Stone Cold and the Rock.
He also reminds us that he defeated the Undertaker, so he sure as hell could beat Seth Rollins. Jericho complains about the referee from last week in his match against Seth Rollins and puts him on his list for not doing his job. Owens adds that he is going to retire Seth Rollins in the cell. This brings out Rollins who cuts a promo on Jericho. Jericho promptly adds Rollins onto his list. Rollins says Owens just stood and watched Jericho get pedigreed two weeks in a row and that Jericho seems weak. Jericho reminds Rollins that he is the best in the world at what he does and says he can beat Rollins any time, any place. Rollins challenges him to match and it is next.
Seth Rollins vs Chris Jericho: This is the first match of the night. Jericho hits a double underhook backbreaker and quickly gets a near fall. Rollins dodges a clothesline and attempts a pedigree, but Jericho rolls out. Rollins follows it up with running forearm and neck breaker for a near fall. Jericho retaliates with his patented springboard dropkick. A bit of offense by Rollins here. Jericho retaliates with a lionsault for another two count. Jericho goes for the pedigree this time, but Rollins avoids. Rollins goes to the top, but Kevin Owens’ music plays and he comes down to the ring distracting Rollins. Rollins goes for the pedigree again, but Jericho puts him in the walls of Jericho instead. Rollins gets to the ropes but Owens pulls the ropes away. Rollins finally gets to the ropes, while the referee starts arguing with Jericho and Owens. Rollins comes and rolls up Jericho from behind. He hits the pedigree for the win.
The Golden Truth and Mark Henry vs the Shining Stars and Titus O Neil: A very brief match here, Mark Henry picks up the win for his team by hitting the world’s strongest slam on Titus.
Chris Jericho gets into Owens’s face and yells at him for getting involved in his match. Jericho almost calls Owens a stupid idiot but he stops himself. Owens says he is the Universal champion and he will not be called a stupid idiot. HE insists he was only trying to help Jericho. Stephanie McMahon interrupts and says that they should stick together, as they would be in war against SmackDown at Survivor Series.
Big E vs Sheamus: New Day cut a promo about how they have held the tag titles for 420 days and that how Sheamus and Cesaro cannot stick together. Sheamus hits a german suplex, following it up with a running knee. Big E comes back with a spear. He hits a clothesline and follows it up with a splash on Sheamus. Sheamus avoids a running move and hits a running senton on Big E instead. Big E hits a couple of belly to belly suplexes.
