Chris Jericho has been one of the main selling points of WWE RAW over the past few months, especially after the WWE draft. Any feud he has been involved in, any promo he cut, any match or even if he just appeared to ‘add someone’ onto the list of Jericho, we could not help but fall in love with him.
There have been rumors regarding Jericho’s status, given that Fozzy would soon be at the download festival which means that he’d have to take time off from the WWE (Boooo!!). Thankfully, Jericho appears to be sticking around at least till the Royal Rumble.
Jericho recently turned 46 and his birthday was celebrated by his ‘best friend’ and the current Universal champion, Kevin Owens during a live event from Berlin. Owens called the entire locker room to the ring, had a cake and sang the birthday song for Jericho. Just when everything seemed picture perfect, Seth Rollins crashed the party by slamming the cake onto Jericho’s face and hitting him with the pedigree.
It appears that Rollins and Jericho would be competing in a match at Roadblock, later this year. The PPG Paints Arena from Pittsburgh announced that Seth Rollins would be taking on Chris Jericho, along with Roman Reigns taking on Kevin Owens for the WWE Universal Championship. There have been rumors about the Universal championship and the WWE United States Championship being unified, as Vince has been pushing for the same, ever since he decided to put Roman Reigns back into the title picture again.
Coming back to Jericho and Rollins, it appears that their feud would continue even after the Roadblock. There may be an added stipulation to the match to make it interesting and unpredictable. The two have been booked for street fights at house shows in the future.
While the feud makes no sense, since there is nothing much at stake, apart from keeping Jericho away from Owens, who would most possibly be booked against the ‘big dog’, Roman Reigns.
