One name synonymous with WrestleMania has been the Undertaker, for the past 22 years. The event seems to be incomplete without Taker on the card. The last time we saw Taker was in a hell in a cell match against Shane McMahon at WrestleMania 32. After that, there has been no mention of Taker apart from a couple of pictures flying around where we saw him walking around in crutches.
Just when we thought that we would never see the Undertaker in a squared ring again, Taker made an appearance at the NBA play offs for Cleveland. He appeared to be fit and ready to go for another match or maybe two.
It appears that the WWE is trying to make this year’s WrestleMania the biggest event thus far. Not long ago did we report that Hulk Hogan was being contacted for a return for the event. Since the event takes place from Orlando, Florida, the Rock is more or less confirmed for the event. Stephanie claimed recently that she would try her level best to get Ronda Rousey for WrestleMania 33, almost immediately after Ronda announced that her upcoming match would be her last fight in the octagon. Add superstars like Triple H, John Cena, Seth Rollins, Chris Jericho, Brock Lesnar, Dean Ambrose, AJ Styles, Kevin Owens, Finn Balor and Roman Reigns into the mix.
Coming back to Undertaker, it appears that as of this writing, it appears that WrestleMania 33 would indeed be the last match for the veteran, who recently turned 51. At that age, it is safe to say that he definitely does not have many more matches up his sleeve.
Regarding the opponents, it appears that John Cena appears to be the front runner for Taker’s final match. There is a whole locker room waiting to get a chance to be in the ring with Taker. Apart from Triple H and Big Show none of the current roster has ever faced Taker at WrestleMania. So, it’s an open ball game now!
Who do you think would be confirmed for Taker’s final match?
