If you’ve been a fan of Dwayne ‘the Rock’ Johnson, you possibly would have noticed that the great one is really active on Twitter and Facebook and he posts updates about his work out schedules, upcoming projects, interviews or sometimes he just graces us with his presence. One recent post that caught the whole internet world in surprise was when The Rock called out his male co-stars in the film Fast and Furious 8. He called them a bunch of ‘candy a##$%’.
It had been reported that the tensions were building between Vin Diesel who plays Dominic Toretto in the popular franchise, while the Rock played the character of Officer Hobbes. It is being said that the tensions were so high that it would be difficult to have both the stars on the set at the same time. While there were reports of the two actors meeting up to sort things out, there seems to be a twist in the tale here.
It is being said that it was Dwayne’s idea that they could show the world that they have some beef with each other, leading the world to believe and anticipate that these two would have a confrontation or even a match at WrestleMania 33. We know that Vince has a knack of integrating real life tensions into storylines, take the example of Rock and Cena, or the Undertaker and Batista, or Jericho and Goldberg. Dwayne felt that this would help grab eyeballs both for the WWE product and the movie as well.
The only actor to comment about the incident was Jason Statham who said he did not want to comment about it and maintained the Rock is his good friend and he wants to keep it that way. The Rock could possibly make an appearance at WrestleMania 33 to promote his movie and have Vin Diesel make a one off appearance, to ‘fight’.
Once again, we advise our readers to take all the reports coming in, with a pinch of salt and treat this only as a rumor. At least for now.
