Four consecutive losses has seen Northeast United go down to the bottom of the table despite a good start. As Nelo Vingada’s side line up at Kolkata’s Rabindra Sarobar stadium. Atletico de Kolkata, who won the opening edition of ISL in 2014, were unbeaten in the first five matches of the league and were cruising along nicely but they have already lost twice in the last four.

First Half
At this point of time, even though Northeast are ahead in terms of Goals, Kolkata are in clear control of the match. Looking at the proceedings you kind of get the feeling that they will get the equalizer any time.
Kolkata after conceding a goal in the opening minutes of the match, have come back strong. It was an embarrassing error on the part of Henrique Fonseca Sereno who was put under pressure by Alfaro.
He passed the back into his own box towards Mondal but fails to find him as Velez is onto it quickly and steals the ball maintaining his composer and putting the ball at the back of the net.
Since then it has been all Kolkata. They are commanding most of the field except on the final third where the final delivery ball often seems toothless to cause any trouble. Northeast also had their moments in the middle mostly from counter attack. All in all it was a good first half. Expecting a much better second half.
Second Half
Atlético de Kolkata has mastered the craft of scoring second half goals.Iain Hume scores his 5th goal of the season and what a time to score as well !!
Javier Lara Grande delivers the ball deep towards the left post. Hélder Postiga heads it across the face of the goal, hoping that someone from his team meets it and it does as Iain Hume is the first to react and taps home the equaliser.
Surely both Atletico-de-Kolkata and NorthEast-United will both be disappointed. Kolkata for dropping two points in their home ground and Goa for not being able to hang onto their lead. There were huge positives for both sides as well today.
