Team India looks to be overwhelming favorites against Thailand in semi finals. India already got a wake-up call at the Kabaddi World Cup on October 7 against South Korea where they tasted a narrow defeat by 32-34 in the opening match. Indian captain Anup Kumar after defeat against Korea said –

I could not sleep after the Korea match. All of us found it difficult to digest that we had lost the opening game. We held a meeting the next day to analyze where things had gone wrong. I told the players very clearly that if we don’t learn quickly, we will get knocked out. Everyone, including me, was told about where we had fallen short, and after that we were determined not to repeat those mistakes, the skipper said.

On the other hand, Thailand will have a very tough task at their hands, defeating the defending as well as host nation.
