5th August 2012, it was a fully packed arena in London where everyone was gathered to witness an Epic clash between the two superpowers in the men’s badminton scene. It was the World’s no. 1 Lee Chong Wei against the Chinese veteran and on the course to defend his Olympic Gold, Lin Dan.
Lee Chong Wei was coming into this match as the overwhelming favorite to head home with his country’s first Olympic gold but Lin Dan had other ideas. The Chinese put a stellar show of his experience by defeating the fan’s favorite and in process ended Malaysia’s hopes of earning a gold medal at the Olympics.

Lin Dan story is not the same unlike the 33-year-old Malaysian sensation as the age seems to get heavy on the Chinese legend as he has dropped third in the ranking and was also defeated by Lee easily last time around but Lin Dan will surely want to go with full cylinders to claim the third gold of his glorious Olympic career.

Though this will be one heck of encounter between these two but the World No. 2 Chen long couldn’t be ignored as he has also rose in on the scene with his prominent skills and is also a worthy bet for gold to snatch a golden farewell away from both the superstars.
