Pakistan won the first test match at Lord’s by 75 runs against England and leads the test series by 1-0. Chasing a target of 283 runs, England got all out for 207 runs. The most successful chase for the English team at the lords was against New Zealand in 2004 when they chased 282.
How the day progressed
The 4th day started with England team in the driving seat as they quickly wrapped up the Pakistan innings, ending the Pakistan innings with 2 quick wickets in morning. Chasing a target of 283 runs on 4th day of the match, England got bowled out for 207 runs with an impressive bowling figures by Pakistan bowlers Yasir 4-69 and Rahat 3-47.
Yasir Shah is the star of the match
Yasir Shah was impressive with his bowling figures of 10 for 141 in his first Test match outside sub-continent and luck also took his side as everything he was doing was troubling the opposition and he also impressed everyone with his batting skills and giving Pakistan an extra edge to win the first test.
The second test match of the series will start on July 22, 2016 at Manchester.
