There was not much to cheer about the Indian archery team on day 1 when the ranking rounds were held as India’s biggest hope in archery Deepika Kumari earned a lowly rank of 20th, but the only positive form the ranking round was Atanu Das, who will be in contention to make it to the round of 32. He earned an impressive 5th seed in the ranking round which means that he will have a weaker opponent to play that enhances his chance to proceed in the next round.
