The Indian contingent will look to bounce back from their utterly disappointing first three days at the Rio Olympics. The best Indian medal prospects won’t be in action today but the fans will be hoping for the positive results which will cheer them up.

Two top performers who impressed and surprised everyone with their performances on first day will be in action today.

Rowing 

Men’s Singles Sculls Quarter final and Semi finals

The men’s single sculls quarter finals will see the impressive Dattu Bhokanal live in action against some of the best rowers in the world. He was a surprise package for the Indian team as he made his way into the quarter finals after strings of impressive performances. He will try his level best to continue is golden run to advance into semis and thereafter qualifying for the finals.

Archery            

Men’s Individual round of 64

There was not much to cheer about the Indian archery team on day 1 when the ranking rounds were held as India’s biggest hope in archery Deepika Kumari earned a lowly rank of 20th, but the only positive form the ranking round was Atanu Das, who will be in contention to make it to the round of 32. He earned an impressive 5th seed in the ranking round which means that he will have a weaker opponent to play that enhances his chance to proceed in the next round.

The Indian shooters have always brought glory to India when it comes to the grand stage of Olympics but this time around the best medal prospects have disappointed with veterans like Bindra and Narang falling short of the medal.  Heena Sidhu will be the one representing India this time and will be looking to bounce back from his horror start to the Rio Olympics.

Men’s competition: India vs Argentina

The Indian hockey team impressed on day one but lost their encounter with Germany which was very close. The Indian team is looking in a really good shape and they will be looking to bring their Olympic campaign back on track when they face the Argentina team.
