WWE Live Event 29th July, Tallahassee results continued!

Kevin Owens def. Neville: As expected great in ring work by both the competitors! Both of them are excellent with moves and near falls! Unpredictability is the word that best describes these two in the ring!

However, it is time that WWE started booking Neville as a legitimate star, if not on the world heavyweight championship, at least at the mid card level. Of all the superstars drafted to the main roster NXT, he has been the biggest disappointment in terms of booking! He has the ability to produce a five star match, maybe have him in line for the US title! About time he started winning matches and titles!

Roman Reigns def. AJ Styles and Seth Rollins: This is a big mistake according to me, given that Seth Rollins is the legitimate champion for the WWE Universal title now, and he’s being portrayed as the next HHH or Randy Orton. What is the point of having Reigns coming out as a strong force against Seth and AJ Styles? AJ on the other hand holds victories against John Cena, this booking made no sense at all as someone who’s been a fan of the product all his life.

It goes to say the WWE is trying to establish a certain uncertainty over the bookings and who would be the next John Cena. As a fan, I can only hope to have the storylines as a continuation of the previous stages, like the way they are portrayed on live television.

It is a known fact that WWE loves to give fans what they want and send them home happy during live events and most of the matches booked on live events are no way related to recent storylines and beefs. With the recent unpredictability in the draft and the plethora of talent given a chance to grab the brass ring, as a fan I would really want to pay a bit more attention to live events, given that unlike previously, there are no grade B events like Saturday Night Heat and Velocity or Main Event.

With NXT boasting of excellent bookings, it’s about time WWE did something to help elevate live events as well.
