A new report from the Wrestling Observer states that the timing of the announcement made by the WWE regarding the UK Tournament and Championship is most likely in response to the ITV and Flo Slam, latter of which has WWE as a stake holder and it is said that the two sides have had discussions regarding the directions of the programs.
People in the UK claim that they were pretty sure that the ITV project was the catalyst for all of these ideas coming in from the Chairman of the board, Vince McMahon.
Yesterday happened to be the birthday of current WWE superstar, Rusev. He tweeted a birthday wish for himself by wishing Jesus Christ a happy birthday and including himself in the same wish.
Ever since Lilian Garcia announced her departure from the company in August to care for her ailing father, she has not been seen with the company on any promotional event. Just when we thought we had seen the last of her, she recently made an appearance on the WWE’s annual Tribute to the Troops held on the 13th of December, at the Verizon Center, from Washington, D.C.
The former ring announcer sang the ‘Star Sprangled Banner’ which obviously led to speculations as to whether she was returning to the company on a full time basis. She discussed her appearance on her podcast, where she confirmed that she needs to spend more time with her father and that she lost part of her voice due to the stress she was going through.
She also added that she was warmly welcomed back by Vince and Triple H and that Vince complimented her by saying that she was missed in the WWE. It appears she is not going back on a full time basis to the company, at least till her father recovers.
A rumor has been running around that Baron Corbin has been added to the WWE Championship title picture only to reduce the workload on current WWE World champion, AJ Styles as they do not want to risk him getting burnt out or injured.
