As reported earlier his week, Mickie James signed a new contract with the WWE. Ever since she made an appearance on the NXT Takeover event at Toronto in a match against the current NXT Women’s champion, Asuka, Mickie James has apparently remained in touch with the WWE.

Triple H has been pushing for Mickie James to be signed to the main roster, however he left the decision to the former WWE Women’s champion. Working a full time role at 37 years old was a decision that she had to make.

It appears the WWE has signed her to a full time contract with the company. She is officially expected to join the SmackDown Live brand starting in January. Having her on the roster would bolster the roster on the whole.

New reports have emerged from the PWInsider and Squared Circle Sirens that big names on the independent roster, Kimber Lee, Evie and Heidi Lovelace are signed by the WWE and that all the newly singed women will be heading to the Performance Center on January 3rd, 2017.
