What is common between CM Punk, Brock Lesnar, and Cesaro? They had to be aligned with a certain someone in order for their career to sky rocket. Yes, we are talking about the brain behind ECW and the current voice of the beast incarnate, Paul Heyman. In a recent interview, Charlotte Flair stated that she would like to be associated with Heyman and be the first ‘Heyman girl’.
While there have been great complaints about her promo work, she has improved a lot and is currently scheduled to work a program with Bayley. Having her align with Heyman would help her elevate her heel status to a whole new level. She has already generated tons of heel heat by turning against her father, the 16 time World Champion, Ric Flair.
Having Heyman add salt to the wounds would have her be pushed over the moon as a heel. Also, it would be the first time that Heyman would be associated with a female wrestler.
A new report from Bleeding Cool spoke about a poll on WWE.com asking the WWE Universe as to who they would like to see main event at WrestleMania. Obviously, as expected, the WWE wanted to see the universe finally accept Roman Reigns as the face that runs the place.
Apparently, Reigns was ranked sixth in the poll with just 4% of the total votes, placing him behind John Cena, Goldberg, Finn Balor, the Undertaker and AJ Styles. Obviously, the WWE did not like that the universe is not accepting Roman Reigns and the WWE promptly pulled down the poll altogether. Wonder what it is going to take for the WWE to understand that the fans are just not ready to accept Reigns as the face that replaces John Cena.
WWE hall of famer, Shawn Michaels dismissed reports of the WWE contacting him for a Royal Rumble return. There have been a lot of rumors running around that Shawn Michaels would return for the event given that the event takes place from his hometown of San Antonio, Texas and also that AJ Styles openly spoke about wanting to wrestle Shawn Michaels.
In a new report by the Mid-day, it was reported that there might be a possibility of a film based on former WWE superstar, the Great Khali. The rights to the film were purchased by Fox Studios and the film is expected to go on floors soon.
