The August 1st edition of RAW is coming in live from the Philips arena, Atlanta Georgia. As advertised, the beast is expected to make his return to Monday night RAW, along with the buildup for the Universal and the Women’s title on the road to the biggest party of the summer, Summerslam!
We are welcomed to Monday night RAW, joined by Saxton, Cole and Graves calling the matches. The show kicks off with Sasha Banks coming out to a massive pop. She’s here to address her thoughts to the WWE universe about the victory last week. She says she’s just getting started and as announced previously, is looking forward to defending her title against Charlotte at Summerslam. She’s interrupted by Jericho!! Playing the heel like he only can, says Charlotte was a great champion, and goes to the extent of saying she has achieved more than her father has in his career. He calls Sasha a disrespectful punk.
He’s interrupted by Enzo Amore who cuts a promo on Jericho. Jericho seems to be taken aback and is beginning to freak out, when the GM, Mick Foley makes his way to the stage. He announces that there’s going to be a mixed gender tag team match.
Chris Jericho and Charlotte vs Enzo and Sasha: To add another element of unpredictability, we are joined by Kevin Owens on commentary. Plenty of back and forth action between Enzo and Jericho. They quickly exchange tags with their respective partners, with Sasha going on the offensive. Great tag team work in display after Enzo and Sasha hit the suicide dive in tandem on both opponents, outside the ring. Back in the ring, near fall for Enzo after a cross body and neck breaker.
Jericho puts Enzo in the walls, but is forced to drop the hold as Enzo gets to the ropes. Jericho counters with a great drop kick as Enzo tries to fly from the ropes! Women get the tags, and Jericho I’m assuming is wanting to give the universe the opportunity to drink in the gift of Jericho. He turns around to a slap by Banks!!!! Charlotte seizes the opportunity and takes out Sasha with the Natural selection, picking up the win for her team.
